Wilmington – Coastal Pulmonary Medicine, PA is
proud to announce that W. Giles Allen, MD, FCCP and Brian M. Legere, MD,
FCCP recently received Board Certification in sleep medicine. Obtaining Board
Certification required Drs. Allen and Legere to complete an accredited training
program, undergo an evaluation of their records by a panel of peer experts
and pass a comprehensive examination.
Certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) is widely
recognized by physicians, health care institutions, insurers and patients
themselves as a reliable indication that a physician has the knowledge, experience
and skills to provide expert care within a given specialty. Sleep Medicine
has just recently been recognized as an independent specialty by the ABMS,
and Dr. Allen and Dr. Legere are among the first in the Wilmington area to
complete the certification process.
Sleep Care of Wilmington is owned and operated by the physicians of Coastal
Pulmonary Medicine (CPM). Located at 1090 Medical Center Drive in Wilmington,
Coastal Pulmonary Medicine serves its patients with a comprehensive pulmonary
practice, two sleep centers (one at the main CPM office and the second at
330 Military Cutoff Road, Unit B1) with five staff physicians.
